The University's Logo

The QU logo was launched in February 2006, signaling a new era of development for the University. The icon’s general appearance clearly embodies the University’s award-winning architectural design with sandy colors inspired from the Qatari environment.

	The presence of the digit 1 in the shadow between the two blocks symbolizes QU’s status as the first, largest, and predominant university in Qatar. The logo also aims to represent the University’s vision to promote and extend its Arabic and Islamic heritage while committing to the principles and methodologies of a first-class modern educational institution.
	The juxtaposition of the Islamic ornaments on one block and parallel lines on the other is meant to represent the University’s focus on combining heritage with progressive education and sciences that align with national goals and requirements.
	The parallel lines are also used as a message to express the University’s alignment with national goals.
	The logotype in English and Arabic and the use of spacious and easily readable fonts reflect a university that is well-established, extensive, and receptive to its students by accommodating various needs and backgrounds.
