I am a Researcher is one of AL-Bairaq tracks at Qatar University. It's an intensive research track for students in the final grade at Qatar secondary school. The project transforms education by providing professional-level experiences for students and invests in their personal development. Students who participate in this program learn how to formulate their own research questions, build a research plan and develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities At “I am a Researcher” event, students demonstrate their understanding of the scientific concepts as well as their ideas and thoughts via PowerPoint and other presentation tools. They present in a public forum and their learning and work are evaluated by a jury from business and industrial organizations. In addition to research activities, and as complement to them, “I am a Researcher” track includes many science and art competitions that will be covered within the event where participants in their groups will be candidates for winning one of the multiple and various prizes that AL-Bairaq presents. Winners will be selected, based on pre-defined criteria, by a panel of experts formed from AL-Bairaq sponsor companies in addition to major business and industrial organizations in Qatar.
